What types of products do you offer?
We offer a range of handcrafted linen products including cushions, tea towels, table runners, and more.
Where are your products made?
All of my products are lovingly hand-printed in my home studio in Victoria, Australia.
What materials do you use?
We use premium quality linen. The main colours are Flax Linen, Oatmeal Linen, and Natural White Linen. In some designs we have a finer linen that is called French Linen. Linen is woven from the fibres of the flax plant and is a completely natural resource. The production of linen fabric uses five to twenty times less water and energy than the production of cotton or other synthetic fabrics. Linen fabrics are biodegradable and recyclable. Linen fibre is totally biodegradable and recyclable. Linen is available in different qualities varying from almost silk-like to sack-linen. When being washed the first time, linen shrinks, as is the case with most natural fibres. At Alili’s all of our products have been prewashed and preshrunk for you. Over time linen textiles become softer and actually improves in comfort.Linen is renowned for its spectacular durability and long life. The tensile strength of linen thread is twice as high as that of cotton and three times that of wool.
How many design patterns do you have?
I have many unique designs that are based on my lived experience in nature across all my products. I love creating and always have ideas bubbling away for new designs so there will always be new original designs added from time to time.
How do I care for my new linen product?
All linen is preshrunk, and the printed designs have been heat cured. Care Instructions for all Alili’s Linen products are cold or lukewarm handwash with mild detergent. Line dry in shade, Lay flat, or hang your linen to air dry. Warm iron on the reverse side. Linen absorbs water and if you spray water when ironing it helps to make it softer. Do not soak, rub, bleach, wring, or tumble dry. Avoid wringing it out to prevent distortion.
If a spill occurs, clean it promptly, using a mixture of baking soda and water for stains if necessary.
How are Alili's products eco-friendly and sustainable?
All Alili’s products are made from 100% linen or organic cotton that are Oeko-Tex Certified to Standard 100. This means that the fabric is tested to make sure that there are no harmful substances – including pesticides or formaldehyde – before being sent to us. The screen printing process uses non-toxic and water-based products. We use printing ink that has met the requirements of the Global Organic Textiles Standards (GOTS) for non-organic chemical inputs for use in organic textile processing.
I also strive to minimize waste in the production process. The printing is mainly produced in my Victorian studio which is off grid and uses recycled water and the packaging is made from recycled materials and is compostable. By choosing Alili’s, you are not only investing in beautiful, handcrafted products, but you are also supporting sustainable practices and contributing to a healthier planet.
What are your costs for shipping/postage?

Can I get a refund?
Yes, at Alilis we offer refunds. All our products are hand printed, which means there may be slight differences during each print run and from piece to piece, making them all original. As all our products are made from natural fabrics, there may also be variations in the fabric, but these do not compromise strength or quality and are not regarded as faults. We do our very best to accurately photograph all products; however, please be aware that colours may vary slightly on different computer screens. The colour and print placement you receive may vary slightly from what you see in the online store – this is not considered a fault.
